Atlantic AI Institute (Dalhousie, A2I2)
Senate-approved Dalhousie research institute, relaunched as the Atlantic AI Institute on 2026-08-20. Stated purpose in its own words: to "connect top-tier AI research, academics, industry, and public outreach to build responsible AI in the Atlantic region", organised around three pillars — research, academic programs and microcredentials, and community partnerships. Responsible-AI and regional-capacity framing, not alignment or catastrophic risk.
