AI policy & regulationSocietal impact & ethics

Volunteer-run public-interest project whose stated aim is "making AI policy in Canada legible to ordinary citizens" and giving them tools to engage their elected representatives. It publishes hand-maintained trackers of federal and provincial AI legislation and of government positions, an automated feed of Canadian AI policy news, an AI 101 explainer with a glossary, a page on how AI affects groups such as young people, seniors, artists and people in defence, a Citizen Toolkit with template letters to MPs and the federal AI minister, and policy analysis by named contributors. It says it takes no positions on specific legislation, and describes itself as "connective tissue between citizens, the AI safety community, and the decision-makers". Community consultations and citizen training sessions are planned in cities across Canada. The site is in English and French.
