Montreal AI Ethics Institute (MAIEI)
International non-profit that describes itself as "equipping citizens concerned about artificial intelligence and its impact on society to take action", with a focus on democratising AI ethics literacy. Publishes The State of AI Ethics Report (eight volumes since June 2020) and runs four named columns: The AI Ethics Brief, AI Policy Corner (with the Governance and Responsible AI Lab, Purdue), Recess and Tech Futures. It also runs an AI Literacy strand of Research Summaries, the AI Ethics Living Dictionary and a Learning Community. Its own content taxonomy has no AI safety, alignment or catastrophic-risk category.
