University of Ottawa AI safety club in formation, covering technical research (alignment, interpretability, robustness, evaluation) and governance and policy upskilling through reading groups, speaker talks, workshops and monthly events, and pointing members at MATS and ARENA. It states its purpose as making AI "human-aligned and beneficial" by "exploring the risks of advanced AI systems".
