The Dais (TMU)
Public policy and leadership think tank at Toronto Metropolitan University, in its own words "working at the intersection of technology, education and democracy", across three programme areas: Innovation and Tech; Education and Skills; Democracy and Trust. Its flagship AI programme is RAISE (Responsible AI Adoption for Social Impact), a national initiative that trained "over 550 professionals" in the nonprofit sector through two courses, "Essentials of Responsible AI Governance" and "Responsible AI Use for Nonprofit Workers". Its AI research is adoption, skills, compute and governance. No dedicated AI safety work: the Reports index carries no safety, alignment or frontier topic, and its "safety" usage is consistently online safety, child protection and deepfakes.
